Ronkonkoma Basement Has Nine Inches of Water From Storm Damage
Storm damage delivered a whopping nine inches of water to this Ronkonkoma partially finished basement. The water affected the HVAC and the insulation required removal. SERVPRO techs used trash pumps to extract the standing water rapidly. The carpet, sheetrock and ceiling tiles all required removal to prep the basement for complete drying. As seen in the After Photo, the flood cuts opened up the walls and some of the built-in features were dried in place. The carpet got pulled up and disposed of, leaving the slab substrate exposed. After the cleanup efforts completed, SERVPRO techs arranged for an inspection of the mechanicals to determine whether repairs were necessary prior to reuse.
